We are all exited to announce the most recent addition to the Draper Family. Natasha Grace Draper! Born on the Morning of Christmas at 1:16, the perfect little angle has arrived to bless TJ and Rachel Draper. Allen has been so much fun, now the fun is doubled! and so is the trouble! Bring it on!

Gettysburg
Oh, Wow! I didn't realize how long it'd been since we updated this blog :(
Well if there's still anyone out there who read reads this thing I got a few pictures of Levi's recent hands-on history lesson.
Levi is the family civil war buff so when Mom and Dad decided to take a trip to PA with some friends They decided to take Levi and make a side trip to Gettysburg. I think saying that Levi was thrilled would be an understatement:P
Here's the three of them in front of a really pretty view
Here's Mr. Castille and His daughter Christy checking out the guns that started the battle
Levi and Sean Castille "firing" what Levi tells me was the civil wars' best cannon.
Here's Devil's den taken from Little round top
And of course the place where Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg adress

Happy Birthday Dad
Tuesday June 24th was dad's 52nd Birthday.
Later Mom and Dad went out to eat at Applebees in Columbia, where unknown to Dad, Mr. and Mrs. Castille were waiting to surprise him.
Also that same night Elise and I went to a horse show and on the way home the horse trailer blew a tire.[It was about 10:30] Elise called Dad and Dad went and got the Stokes horse trailer, we put the horses in the Stokes trailer and brought it all home. Well everything ended up OK and we did get some sleep.

The Center Of Attention
We had TJ and Rachel over Last Friday for grilled hamburgers, and they were yummy! I took a video so you all can see how cute allen is, who is in fact, the center of attention. And for those of you who don't yet know, I will soon have another little nephew or niece! (I'm hoping for a niece!) We are all very exited about the new life God has added to the Draper family.

In Case You Were Wondering.........
What the Drapers have been up to, I got some pics for ya
I guess you could say I think in rows.
Here's a closer look at the cabbage
as you can see we put brown paper feed sacks around these cabbage plants and covered them with ashes. That's supposed to keep the bugs away but I've also noticed that they are bigger than the cabbage plants that don't have ashes around them.
That would be a broccoli plant.
This year we decided to try growing potatoes in mulch. so far so good.
I also planted onions in between the new strawberry plants for the sake of space;
Now I'm wondering just how good of an idea that was (note the runners growing between the onions)
English peas. not yet at their peak... er I hope anyway, so far we haven't picked enough to do anything with.
Some beans of course (green and shell)
closer
southern peas just sprouted this week

Happy Birthday Elise!
Yesterday was Elise's Birthday, but we didn't celebrate [ eat cake and such] until today.
The reason we didn't do it yesterday is because she went out to eat with dad.
Here is the cake, it was a chocolate mint cake.
Blowing out the candles.
Here are the presents, before they were unwrapped.
And after they were unwrapped.
