GOP DELEGATES SUE TO BE FREE FROM ROMNEY

“Some campaigns act like organized crime syndicates – and I mean organized crime, no doubt about it,” Gilbert told Courthouse News. “In Arizona, the voting machines were rigged so that Ron Paul votes were counted as Mitt Romney votes. It was so intentional that a Romney delegate refused to certify the vote count, and for that he got thrown off the convention.”

Republican National Convention have joined a lawsuit against the GOP arguing they have been illegally coerced into choosing Mitt Romney for the party’s presidential nominee and demanding they be “unbound” to vote for another candidate instead.
The federal lawsuit, filed this week in U.S. District Court in California by mostly supporters of Ron Paul, demands the delegates be freed to “vote their conscience” for presidential nominee at the party’s August national convention in Tampa, Fla., rather than being “bound” to vote for a certain candidate, as many state party bylaws require, based on the primary elections and other delegate selection procedures.
Courthouse News Service reports at least another 40 additional national convention delegates have asked to join the lawsuit.
Supporters of the effort say there is “evidence that the voting rights of Ron Paul Republican delegates and voters … have been violated by nearly every state GOP party and the RNC during the 2012 primary election phase.”
The delegates claim the party violated federal law by forcing them to sign loyalty affidavits, under threat of perjury, to vote for Mitt Romney, though he is not yet the official nominee.
“They don’t want to be bound to any candidate, or even be forced to vote for the nominee,” Richard Gilbert, of Gilbert & Marlowe, attorney for the delegates, told Courthouse News. “To have a real convention, the delegates must have free will so that when they meet, they can persuade each other and then decide who to vote for.”
The courts have typically allowed political parties leeway in the nomination of their candidates, but this case asks the court to consider the choice of presidential nominee a “federal election,” subject to laws that would free delegates from party procedures to vote their conscience.
Beyond merely asserting delegates’ “right” to vote their conscience, however, the lawsuit asserts the GOP has engaged in a racketeering-like scheme to push Romney as the candidate.
“The Republican National Committee and its chairman have been aiding the Governor Romney campaign for at least six months,” the lawsuit asserts. “The RNC and its chairman, defendant Reince Priebus, have … combined with a particular candidate with all of the aid the RNC can possibly, but improperly give … to obstruct, intimidate and harass delegates from voting their conscience.”
Specifically, the lawsuit charges Republican officials and operatives have used threats of violence, certified unlawful slates of delegates, demanded affidavits of loyalty to Romney under penalty of perjury and have even altered ballot results to make sure the national convention is stacked with delegates who will vote for Romney.
The plaintiffs are asking the court to order the RNC to inform delegates they can vote for the nominee of their choice, to reinstate delegates who lost their seats at the convention because they refused to sign loyalty affidavits and to recount ballots by hand or hold another convention in areas “where the sanctity of the ballots are untrustworthy.”
Yet striking down party rules that bind candidates to vote in accordance with the primary process could suddenly open up the nomination to another campaign season, as presidential hopefuls could attempt to sway the elected delegates to their side, a potentiality Gilbert recognizes.
“If the judge rules in our favor, I won’t be surprised if three or four new candidates, say Sarah Palin, jump in and say they want to be considered,” Gilbert told Courthouse News. “It will be the most interesting national convention in my lifetime if the judge rules for us on this.”
Some sources report that Gilbert & Marlowe represent presidential hopeful Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, but the attorney’s office would not confirm with WND whether it has represented Paul previously nor whether the congressman has any connection to the current lawsuit.

The Woes of having to buy a new bible

Yes, it seems woeful to have to buy a new bible.
Because it's going to be troublesome to transfer all my notes onto a new one.

I like my compact bible. It's not big and bulky. I can tote it in my purse.
This one has just big enough print to be able to read comfortably. Of course, bifocals help.

It's been slowly falling apart, but the other day the cover came off.
I finally ordered a new one that looks similar to the one I have.

To be truthful, it is not really woeful. It is a blessing and a privilege.

Garrett's first birthday

Saturday we celebrated Garrett's first birthday. He doesn't actually turn one until Wednesday. But it worked best to do it on Saturday because Gabriel's mom and two of his siblings are here and they will be leaving tomorrow. We also had TJ's family over.
He got little cupcakes.
Waiting for his cake.
A spoon will suffice for the time.

"Ohh, what is this? Let me touch it. "
Elise had to hold his hands because he really wanted to touch the burning candle.
He wasn't sure what to think about everyone singing to him.
Now, what to do with this cupcake?
After they had him taste it he figured it out pretty quick.
This is the good stuff.
Of course there were gifts, but we didn't get many good pictures. He had fun tearing the wrapping paper though. :)

Last week of May

So, these are pictures that I wanted to post the other day, and obviously, it didn't happen.
We got a couple bushels of peaches and had to get those put up.

The mess.
We decided that we would just freeze all of these ones. We will be getting more later on that we will can. But we like to have a lot of frozen peaches for smoothies!

Weeding the garden. I think these were taken about two weeks ago.

The big little man. Such a ham! His first birthday is on Wednesday! Can you believe it? We will be celebrating tomorrow evening though.
He is learning to walk now. He will take a couple of steps, and the last step he throws himself forward to reach his destination.
Wild roses come with June. So pretty.
One of Gabriel's cows had a calf.
It's cute. But then, aren't they all.

Why Does Freedom Matter?

Here's an article from our good friend Ty Bollinger at cancertruth.net.
You can read the article with the links to the stories he refers to at http://www.cancertruth.net/2012-may-newsletter/

Why does freedom matter? Why does it matter if the TSA is allowed to sexually molest our wives and children?   Why does it matter if police are allowed to beat to death a mentally-challenged handcuffed homeless man?  Why does it matter if a mother is arrested for taking a picture of a tourist attraction?  Why does it matter that a Florida wife was sentenced to 20 years in jail for firing warning shots to prevent her abusive husband from beating her?

Why does it matter? What does this have to do with our health? Let me tell you how these stories are all interrelated.

Because if we sit back and allow the government to enslave (and dehumanize) us in these areas, then we will gladly allow them to violate the Constitution and take our health freedom. Just look at a few recent examples … the FDA raid on Rawesome Foods for selling raw milk … the Detroit SWAT team kidnapping (and raping) of Maryanne Godboldo’s daughter for refusing to keep using psychiatric drugs … the “gunpoint” forced chemotherapy of Jacob Stieler (a child) who showed no signs of cancer … and the list goes on and on and on …

You see, a tyrannical government crushes ALL forms of freedom, including HEALTH freedom! I was watching an interview where the reporter asked the people on the street if freedom was important to them. One remark that really blew me away was when a seemingly intelligent 30-something man answered, “Yes, freedom is important … but it has its place.” In other words: “Yes, we should all be herded like sheep, but within the limits of common sense.”

Sadly, this man’s position on freedom is indicative of our country as a whole. We have been so brainwashed into believing that it’s somehow “patriotic” to give up our freedom and liberty in exchange for more “protection” from the terrorists, boogeyman, and the Easter Bunny. Nothing could be further from the truth. In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.”

We MUST stand-up for liberty in ALL areas of life, or we will lose our health freedom. Codex Alimentarius could become the “law of the land” if we are silent. Codex Alimentarius (Latin for “food code”) is the proposed set of international guidelines for nutritional supplements, food handling, production, and trade which is now gradually being ratified in countries around the world. Codex is made up of thousands of standards and guidelines. One of them, the Vitamin and Mineral Guideline (VMG), is designed to permit only ultra-low doses of vitamins and minerals, essentially making supplements illegal. Vitamin C, for example, at any dosage higher than two hundred milligrams per day will be illegal. The dose of coenzyme Q10 which has been shown to resolve breast cancer in some patients (400 mg per day) will be illegal because coenzyme Q10 will be totally illegal at any dose following the European Supplements Directive model. Only 28 nutrients will be allowed, but the maximum upper limits have been set so low that they have little or no clinical impact in keeping us healthy and none at all in returning us to a state of health if we are ill. And those which are available will be exorbitantly priced.

Codex also stipulates which conditions may be treated using herbs. Only minor, self-limited conditions may be treated by herbal means. Treating any other conditions with herbal remedies will constitute a crime. Codex sets permissible upper limits for pesticide residues, toxic chemicals in the environment, hormones in food and other environmental contaminants which are many times higher than levels advocated by chemical and pesticide industry lobbying groups. Current toxic levels are already responsible for most of the cancers, heart disease, autism, chronic degenerative conditions, and organ failures which are killing people at increasing rates around the globe. Making permissible toxic levels higher will accelerate this destructive world-wide trend. And here is the kicker – Codex is based in the Napoleonic Code, not Common Law. That means that under Codex, anything not explicitly permitted is forbidden. Under Common Law, we hold that anything not explicitly forbidden is permitted. The difference is the difference between health freedom and health tyranny.

We are witnessing the end of America as a nation-state right now, and with these changes, none of our domestic laws or constitutional rights are secure. We are facing a frightening future, not to mention the fact that children born after 1990 have no clue about their food, water, vaccinations, or anything else. Our food supply is full of irradiated food, pasteurized milk and juice, viruses sprayed on our meat, chemicals sprayed on fruit and vegetables, and now we’re being forced without our consent to eat genetically modified foods. Codex is nothing more than Big Pharma’s worldwide “control” agenda. It is an enormous assault on humanity and health freedom. Sadly, like many other instances of government abuse and tyranny mentioned at the beginning of this article, much of the “dumbed down” populace thinks that it’s a “good thing” that the government “cares enough to protect us.” You know the old saying, “A nation of sheep results in a government of wolves.”

We must continue to promote freedom, liberty, and the restoration of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In the words of Dr. Benjamin Rush (signer of the Declaration of Independence): “Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution the time will come when medicine will organize itself into an undercover dictatorship. To restrict the art of healing to doctors and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic.”

I leave you with this well-known quote: “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”
