“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”Rev. 3:15-16
I think I understand what the Lord meant. Much of what I see from the church leadership makes me want to puke as well.
Politics is the reflection of a culture. To the victors go the spoils. Whichever worldview wins at the ballot box controls the culture. Saying that politics and religion don’t mix is the bilge that the god-hating left has been spewing to neutralize the impact of the Gospel upon the culture. They know that if we will remove our “deeply held religious beliefs” from the ballot box that they will be free to immerse the culture in their own “deeply held religious beliefs” of religious secularism.
You see, the battle is not over IF religious beliefs will impact the culture, but rather which religious beliefs. By convincing our Christian leadership that there is no relationship between politics and the saving of individual souls they have been successful in covering the light of the Gospel with a bushel. How many fewer young girls would have been molested if porn law enforcement had been demanded by the church leadership?
As most of you are aware I am running for Congress. I plan on winning as the grass-roots support has been overwhelming. Folks here in the heartland are tired of both Republicans and Democrats and realize that changing horses in the middle of the stream still leaves one bridle deep in water. They are looking for someone to get the horse up on dry land.
Look at this very short video of our grassroots efforts which resulted in our truck being towed out of a Wal Mart parking lot. “Family Friendly” Wal Mart is loaded with cheap goods from China. When you shop at Wal Mart you feed the enemy. It was an honor to be towed out of there.
We are going to win this race. It is going to be a shock to the political pundits. Republican money can not buy the hearts of Mom and Pop America. The emails are burning, the phone lines are sizzling, and horns are honking as we drive our trucks non-stop around the district. (Since you didn’t look at the video, go back and do it now.)
We are going to win with less than $10,000 in expenses. We have no paid staff, no big consultants, and no “radio buys.” We are winning with a “ground game” that would make Woody Hayes envious. We have five days left. We want to keep our trucks on the road. All we need is gas. Please…PLEASE…buy us a tank. We will never have an opportunity like this again.Buy a tank here. One hundred tanks will make us a winner.
So, back to the Luke Warm Leaders. If just the Christians would get behind me this wouldn’t even be a race. If every “man of God” stood in his pulpit and said “I am not telling you who to vote for but I am voting for Coach Dave Daubenmire. Unashamed Christian men are the only hope this nation has. It is time we sent a Christian bulldog to Congress,” the Republican leadership would have to go pound sand.
That is all it would take. But they won’t do that. They have bought into the “religion and politics” not mixing lie. They love telling us how much of our money we should give the church (tithe), how following unrighteous leadership (Romans 13) is our duty, but impacting the culture by ensuring the application of Christian principles in civil law is somehow off limits. Upwards of 24 million Christians did not even vote in the last presidential election. Our negligence has permitted un-godly men to rule over us.
My friend Mark had a conversation with a pastor last week regarding my candidacy. The pastor acknowledged my courage, respected my commitment to Christ, and believed my “positions” were in direct line with the Holy Scriptures. But he thought I was “too radical.” He said a more “moderate” Christian would be more effective in breaking “gridlock.” (I am not making this up.) He was afraid I might do something to make “Christians look bad.”
“Lukewarm.” That is what I told Mark. That is exactly why we are in the mess we are in. Our Christian leadership believes that the Gospel is too radical. What they are doing flies in the face of Christ’s clear admonition against moderate, lukewarm, Christianity.
Most of America’s “men of the cloth” make Jesus want to puke. They are leading the sheep to slaughter.
All across this nation church’s are supporting “moderate” Christians who have climbed the political ladder by making sure that their lukewarm Christianity did not get in the way of the approval from the political hacks who select our candidates for us. That is why “pro-life” congressman, can attend “pro-life” churches, where “pro-life” congregants vote into office those who will not stand up for “pro-life” babies.
It is enough to make a guy barf.
Is it just me, or shouldn’t our leadership be “radical” for Christ? Shouldn’t they be supporting and promoting “radical” Christians? Shouldn’t lukewarm, moderate-Christian candidates make them want to puke as well?
Well, fighting for Truth…that wouldn’t be very Christian now, would it? Nope.
Wouldn’t want to make Christians look bad, would we? Their logic initiates my gag reflex.
"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." -- George Orwell
“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.” -John 18:37.
Jesus wasn’t a moderate, He was a revolutionary.
If we are able to pull this off it won’t be because of the lukewarm leadership. It will be in spite of it.
“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” -Sam Adams, The Firebrand of the Revolution.
Come on boys, let’s go take our liberty back. Remember, the church leadership put their money on Goliath.
Put an IOU in the church offering plate. Send me some of the preacher boy’s allowance. Help fill those gas tanks.
Do you think like a Christian or a humanist? Did the Founders really separate Church and State? Is Judicial tyranny ruining America?
