Genesis 1:26,27
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:28
And God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill up the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 3:3:21Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Genesis 9:1-3
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill up the earth,
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered,
every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the greed herb have I given you all things.
When we don't have a biblical worldview, we can fall for all sorts of falsehoods that can wreak havoc on the human race.
The issue of whether or not to eat meat has been around for a long time.
Some Christians think it is unhealthy to eat meat, others think it is healthy to eat meat.
But the biggest problem is those that put animals and other non-human creatures above humans.
In my opinion, when a person does that, they are putting animals above the Lord God also.
After all, humans were made in the image of God and we humans are to have dominion over the animals and use them for food and clothing.
There are people who think it's wrong to kill any animal or living creature for any reason.
I believe that there are professing Christians that believe this.
Again, most professing Christians don't even have a biblical worldview.
So aside from the fact that Christians don't know the Word of God and they misinterpret His Word to suit their presupposed theology, propaganda goes a long way in turning people into animal rights activists.
One propagandist, Charles Darwin (yes, I call him a propagandist), has had a lot of influence in his own way. But there are lots of others, past and present, that have had a lot influence on the God and creation subject.
Another form of propaganda is Walt Disney. You remember Bambi, and Cinderella's mice, The Fox and the Hound, etc.
In his movies, you have the cute talking animals. He makes them have a human quality.
There are other movies and books that do the same thing.
They pit animals against humans or should I say, they pit the humans against the animals and make the humans look 'beastly'.
Then there is PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals, I mean People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). These people go well beyond wanting animals treated humanely. They don't want you to eat them, make clothes of them, or even ride them (horses).
Actually, I believe they want animals to have the same rights as people.
PETA will ruin your life if they think you are treating an animal improperly.
And who gave them authority over us?
Going to a public school and the school room being your only reality of life is just plain propaganda no matter what the subject.
Just by default, a kid has no idea where his or her food comes from. They think the supermarket developed it or McDonalds did. Seriously! They do.
I've heard of someone saying that people should buy their meat from the store instead of killing animals.
That's right up there with the congressman who thought the island of Guam would tip over if too many people were on one side of it.
Our family does watch those talking animal movies. It's rather comical to listen to some of the kids say, "let Lucify (the cat in Walt Disney's Cinderella) eat the mice. Or, "Bambi would be tasty".
Oh, and let's not forget about the story of Charlotte's Web.
Our family wouldn't mind eating Wilbur. I mean, if you're not going to make millions of dollars from having a pig that can write in spider webs, you might as well enjoy him for breakfast.
Also, there are the horse movies.
People! Horses outweigh a human big time. They can hurt you or kill you and sometimes it's on purpose. (We are a horse family)
You'd better be able to have control over them.
Our family believes in treating animals good and not cruelly.
Even if it is one we are raising for food. The animal gets well cared for.
We can't stand to see a horse in someone's pasture with hardly any grass and no hay and the horse's ribs sticking out.
But, we don't condone having governmental intervention for such things either.
What brought all this up is: listening to our young neighbor girl and her friends, who all go to the local propagandist, indoctrination, brainwashing school. (Sorry, can't help myself)
Our young neighbor girl won't eat venison with us when she is here for supper.
But she will eat hamburger from the store.
neighbor girl: "I would eat a person before I would eat a horse."
neighbor girl's friend: "I would never eat a cow."
neighbor girl: "you eat hamburgers."
neighbor girl's friend: "Oh yeaaahh."
So, you get my drift.
Romans 3:4
.........Let God be true, but every man a liar....................
By the way,
Killing animals is not murder!
But killing unborn babies is!
