Johanna's critique of Cinderella

This story is in no way against anyone who has watched this silly, yet entertaining fairy tale. We have watched it ourselves.
But just like Laurel's critique of Veggie Tales from an earlier post, I thought this one was a cute story to tell. I get a glimpse of what goes on in my children's minds this way. It's funny to me.

While we were eating lunch today, Johanna said that when she walked into TJ's house yesterday, the kids were watching Disney's Cinderella.

She said, "the movie makes the good look bad."
"The movie makes work look like it's a bad thing and that her family not wanting her to go to the ball is a bad thing. (parental authority is not a bad thing) She shouldn't be going to a ball anyway."
"Poor Cindrella! She feels sorry for herself, having to do all the work alone."

Also, "The prince new that Cinderella was the girl for him after he danced with her once." And, whoever fit the glass slipper was this girl. Like no one else has the same size shoe!"

Personally, I like the part where the cat is dreaming of catching the mice.
I hate mice. even cute ones that can sing; Cinderelly, Cinderelly..........
