Obama administration to criminalize teens working on their own family farms

This among other intrusive government measures just boils my blood.
Government control is bad enough but I see the most morally bankrupt (actually this is questionable. I did go to a public high school and it was disgusting over 30 years ago.), the laziest, and not to mention the most overweight kids today than I did in the past generation.
Children need to learn a work ethic at the earliest possible age.
It starts with picking up their toys.
That is not child abuse.
Child abuse is when you leave a child to their own whims and self destructive behavior.
When a child has chores to do, it enforces self discipline and self control.
And to the over sentimentalising parent who thinks that the poor kid needs more play time;
They still have plenty of play time and as a matter of fact, the work can be enjoyable and even fun, especially when there are others working along side. You can ask my kids. All 8 of them.
Besides that if a child plays outside (verses sitting in front of a TV or computer game), that play can be more strenuous than farm work.
Other than the obvious ploy to dumb down and control the populace by corrupt politicians, a lot of parents have gotten wimpy, thinking that they want their children to have more than they did growing up and not have such a "hard life".
Hard life? They are falling into the trap of the entitlement mentality. Give me what I won't work for.
A hard life is when you wake up and realize that there's no such thing as a free lunch.
